THIS IS HOW YOU BECOME MORE POWERFUL IN LIFE.
What you need to create the life you want.

From time to time, I like to sit with the past versions of myself.
The Olivia that was completely powerless to the reality and life she was living.
Today, I am very conscious of what I want, what I need, what I deserve and I precisely know how to give it to myself.
Why you should want more power.
A lot of us have a negative association with the word Power.
Because it involves control and you probably have lived situations where you felt powerless because someone else had control over you and they used that power to hurt, manipulate or harm you.
Power, like anything else, is neutral.
Power is not good or bad, it just depends on how you decide to use it.
It’s how you decide to use the power you have that will create a positive or negative outcome.
Some people choose power to harm (let them do their thing), we are using power to give ourselves:
that we want out of our life.
Power is the ability to bring about what you want.
Everyone has a certain level of power.
Even you. Let me prove it to you:
Let’s say you are hungry and desire to eat some food (what you want to bring about).
You go to your fridge, prepare yourself a nice meal and are able to meet the need and desire for food that you had 30 minutes ago.
You just used your personal power to create what you wanted for yourself based on a need and desire that you had.
If you can use your personal power to create a meal and satisfy your desire and need for food, then you can use your personal power to create the physique, the relationships, the financial abundance and the life you want.
Obviously the process and journey to create what you want out of your life through the power you have won’t be as quick and easy as to create a meal, but it is absolutely possible.
Right now, you are not aware of the power that you have so you are not intentional with how you use your power and your time.
When you start being intentional with what you do and with your time, you are gaining control over when you act and how you act.
The more intentional you become,
The more control you have,
The more power you will gain.
The lack of intention behind what you do is making you eat random food that isn’t good for your body, scrolling for hours on Instagram and wasting your time working a job you don’t even enjoy.
You haven’t learned how to control all of these aspects of your life so someone else (McDonald, Instagram or your boss in this case) is making these decisions for you, which of course makes you feel powerless towards the life you are currently living.
These 3 skills will make you more powerful in life.
When you use your power to prepare your meal, you follow a specific order.
You chop your vegetables and then you cook them, not the other way around.
The same goes for gaining power over your life, we want to follow a specific order:
So, to gain full control and power over your life, you need to learn how to move, think and act with intention.
Step 1. Master your body
If you are currently living in a body that isn’t healthy, happy and that you like physically, then you are powerless to the habits that make up your current health and physical state.
We want to regain power and control over these habits to get your body towards a better place.
This means that you will have to take full responsibility for every action you are now taking when it comes to your health and your body.
Start by going over your current habits and become aware of the positive or negative impact they have on your health, your body and your physique. If you need help with this, click here to access the Notion template that will help you gain massive clarity about your current health state.
Before you become intentional, you have to become aware.
Spend the next 7 days observing your behavior, your emotions and your actions when it comes to the food you are consuming, the way your body feels and moves, the times you go to bed and the quality of your sleep.
Report all of your observations in your Notion template or in a notebook.
If doing this is not worth your time and attention, then you don’t truly care about getting your health and physique to a better place. If that is the case, then you are more than welcome to stop reading this letter because the next steps will require even more time and dedication.
Once you are able to understand what motivates your current decisions and behavior, you can now choose the intention you want to put behind what you eat, how you move, when you go to bed (etc).
The intention behind every action is to lead you towards a positive outcome.
Ask yourself, “if I drink alcohol or do drugs this weekend will that benefit or harm the health of my body”?
If you know that it will harm your body and not honor the goal of health that you have now set, then simply don’t do it. This is you respecting yourself, your personal boundaries and using your power to bring about what you want by saying NO to what you don’t want.
The awareness, the intention and power you are now gaining over your health, will deepen the relationship you have with your body.
Once you get there, you are ready for the next step.
Step 2. Master your mind and your emotions.
Now that you have learned to control yourself on a physical level and you know how to use your power to create health for your body, it is time to do the same with your mind and your emotions.
To do that, you want to use the same observation process you have implemented to understand how your emotions and decisions influence the way your body feels and looks.
Observe the thoughts you are having and get into the habit of questioning them:
Practices like meditation, yoga, daily walks (without distraction), and journaling can help you gain tremendous clarity about how your mind and emotions work.
Once you have gained clarity and awareness about how you currently process your thoughts and emotions, then you want to become intentional about them, so you can control them (and therefore gain power by directing them towards what you want to bring about for yourself).
Instead of allowing a situation to completely stress you out and take over you, you know now exactly what you have to do to calm yourself down first instead of acting impulsively.
Can you see here how YOU are taking control of the situation instead of allowing the situation to completely take control over you? That is you using your power ;).
Step 3. Master your speech and your actions.
This is the last step of self-mastery.
This is the place where you gain complete awareness of who you are, understand how everything you do and say impacts everything and everyone around you.
Finally, you consciously and intentionally know how to use your power to keep making decisions that align with the way you want to feel and look, the quality of relationships you want to have, the income you want to make and the life you want to live.
Like I said previously, if you can use your power to create a meal and satisfy your desire and need for food, there is no reason why you can’t use your personal power to create the life you deserve to live.
So start chopping these veggies and enjoy becoming a powerful human.
